She has consistently delivered excellent training for managers and staff in Manchester City Council's Libraries & Theatres Department.
Planning and development of tailored training programmes
Melanie has used her extensive experience in the public and private sector to plan and develop tailored programmes in response to specific needs. Her knowledge of organisational development and management issues has enabled her to provide tailored training solutions to address specific problems within the organisation. From the initial briefing meeting, she has quickly grasped the key issues and provided practical training solutions. She has a common sense approach to problem solving, which has ensured her training programmes have exactly the right balance of theory and practice.
Melanie’s underpinning knowledge in a wide range of people management issues and of NLP has enabled her to be a flexible and adaptable trainer. She responds instinctively to the needs of course participants extremely well and very quickly adapts the training to included additional material to illustrate a specific point. She is a flexible and adapted trainer.
Melanie's training style encourages high participation from course attendees. Her excellent interpersonal skills and good sense of humour provides lively and interactive training sessions. She is able to engage the quietest member of staff to contribute and is equally comfortable in dealing with challenging participants to ensure their engagement too.
I have commissioned Melanie to develop and deliver a range of training activities on topics, which includes: communication skills, assertiveness, time management, handling difficult customer situations and managing meetings. I am aware of the other areas of her training expertise and will be exploring the opportunity for her to deliver some of these for our staff and managers in the future.
